"For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."               (2 Corinthians 4:6)
The Gospel preached in under one minute:
"Cry loudly, do not hold back; Raise your voice like a trumpet, And declare to My people their transgression And to the house of Jacob their sins." (Isaiah 58:1)

WHAT IS THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST?

In Romans 1:16, Paul called the gospel of Christ,

"THE POWER OF GOD FOR SALVATION

TO EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES”.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the “Good News” that God became a man in the Person of Jesus Christ, as Emmanuel, which means “God with us”.  He was born of a virgin, grew up and ministered to His creation as He kept the Law of God perfectly.  He was despised, rejected, and crucified by His own creation (us).  He died, was buried in a tomb, rose again from the grave three days later, and sits on His Throne, at the Right Hand of the Father.  All of this as was prophesied in the Old Testament Scriptures, so that we could have the hope of a sinless sin offering, "the Lamb of God", for our sin.  He is the Only Mediator between God, the Father, and mankind, and He is our Only Hope of salvation from the Wrath of God, which is directed toward us, because of our sin and disobedience that we have committed against Him.  That sin began with the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden.  "For as by one man's (Adamʼs) disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one (Jesus Christ) shall many be made righteous." (Romans 5:19 KJV) "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" (1 Timothy 2:5 KJV).

Why do we have such great need of the Gospel of Christ?  For the forgiveness of our sins.  God made everything for Himself and we have turned from Him to live for ourselves and the ways of this fallen world.  We were created by God to obey, enjoy, and serve Him, but consider what we (every one of us) has done.  Ask yourself, “Who is it that you live for and obey?”; “What is it that you enjoy?”; “Who is it that you serve?”  Isaiah 53:6 states, "All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way..."  Do you even know what Godʼs commands are, or the instructions from His Word, the Bible, so that you might even attempt to obey the very God Who made you?  And yet, we have all broken His commands, over and over again, and will be held to account before Him.  "For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil." (Ecclesiastes 12:14 KJV).

In Colossians 1:16 & 17, it is written, "... all things were created by Him, and for Him: and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist."  And yet, so often mankind forgets God and tries to take matters into our own hands.  Apart from Christ, we do what pleases us or what seems right in our own eyes, rather than crying out to the LORD, surrendering all to Him, confessing the wickedness of our own sin and constant disobedience against Him, acknowledging that we can do nothing without Him, and admitting our desperate and utter need for Him.

Mankind often ignores God and even foolishly blames Him, unless we see our own helplessness and hopelessness apart from Him.  He is Infinitely Worthy and Deserving of ALL of our worship and obedience, and yet, we have all turned our backs on Him and gone our own way.  Yet He is still willing to forgive, but only according to His way.  Jesus COMMANDS that we “repent and believe in the Gospel” and WARNS that “unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”  God is Worthy of our lives (which He has given to us) and unless you surrender ALL to Him, then you deny Him and the Salvation that He so Graciously offers to us, His fallen and disobedient creation who deserve only His eternal punishment for our rebellion against Him.

Consider this: Jesus is not only willing to forgive those who will truly come to Him in repentance and faith, but when Jesus forgives a person, he forgives all of their past, present, and future sins.  This is possible because He has already taken every one of their sins upon Himself when He was brutally and violently crucified on the cross of Calvary.  He, Who is Holy, Pure, Without sin, Perfect, and Spotless, felt the guilt, shame, evil, and wickedness of sin as He became the sin of all who He forgives.  His Father poured out His Furious Wrath and Righteous Anger on His Own Precious Son, as He became and payed the penalty for the sin of all Who He saves.  Jesus not only became the sin of His people, He also imputes or credits His Own Righteousness to them, so that they are then seen as perfect, pure, and holy before God.  "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." (2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV).  What Unspeakable Love that the LORD demonstrated at the cross; "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8 NASB).  And yet, most people will deny Him and the Salvation that He offers at His own expense, because they will not deny themselves for Him and put all of their faith in Him Alone.

What is in store for those who are not found in Christ, and therefore not forgiven of their sins?  They will pay for their own sin (as we all deserve to), suffering the Eternal Wrath of God for all eternity, and their torment will never end in the Lake of Fire.  Psalm 73:19 states, "Oh, how they are brought to desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors."

Now what do you think the New Life of a True Christian looks like?  Well, Paul wrote, in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."  How different do you think the life of a person will be, who has become “a new creature“ (“or a new creation”), “in Christ”, because of Christ?

When a person truly surrenders to God, and is converted by God, it is a supernatural work that only God can do to make them “a new creature”.  Jesus said, in John 3:3, "... Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."  No one can give life but God, and no one can give new life (eternal life) but God, and that new life will be a new life which is set apart to live for the One (THE ONLY ONE) Who gives it.  Paul wrote, in Philippians 1:6, "being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ".

When the LORD saves a person, evidence of that salvation is that that person never stops growing in Christ to become more and more like Jesus Christ, while the Holy Spirit increasingly brings conviction of sin when they commit sin against Him.  Also, that person will never, and can never, walk away from Christ.  If these are not the case, remember what Jesus said, in Matthew 7:21, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven." and in John 8:31 & 32, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.

"Now, the question to ask yourself is this, “Has Christ truly saved me?”  If the answer is “No” or is questionable, then obey the Lord Jesus Christ: “REPENT AND BELIEVE IN THE GOSPEL.”

CONSIDER THIS: On the day of Judgement we will all be Judged by God, according to the same Standard, the Word of God, the Bible.  Therefore, spend the rest of your life seeking the Face of God in prayer and by reading and learning of God, directly from His Inerrant and Perfectly Inspired Words of the Bible, so that you might be prepared on that day, before entering into eternity. Please read 2 Timothy 3:16 & 17 and Hebrews 4:12 & 13.
